Football is a significant part of life for all young people in Kakuma. There are approximately 200,000 refugees living in the camp and over 70% are under the age of 21 years. Most belong to a football team and competition is fierce. The teams train daily, mostly at dawn and dusk to avoid the searing termperatures that peak at 40 degrees in the day, and there are important matches held every Saturday. Everyone is highly skilled and very talented!
