Frame width 23.3cms, length 28.5cms, depth 6.1cms. Wire head framed against a blue acetate shiny background, set in a white painted, wooden box-frame with secure back hangings. This wirehead formed part of an enormous wire head portrait project we did in the camp that was hung from the beams of a classroom. Pupils in London schools made their own wire heads in response to the ones they were shown in Kakuma and these were all exhibited together at the ‘We Are’ exhibition at the African Centre, London, 2019, supported by M&C Saatchi World Services, to represent solidarity with refugees.
